6 Health Benefits of Listening Music

Listening to music is not just mere entertainment . Without you knowing it , the music has actually been giving mood swings and even help you to concentrate . 

A study shows , listen to the song to give effect to some parts of the brain , which is responsible for memory and vision related . 

" For example , a recent study in Canada showed that there is a causal relationship between music and the core part of the brain that respond to stimuli ( food , light , sex ) , " said Dr Victoria Williamson , professor of psychology at Goldsmith College London .

Research at McGill University in Montreal showed that listening to music can trigger the release of dopamine . 
" The brain is very complicated - there are many elements involved in creating a sense of excitement - not surprising if there are studies showing that the release of dopamine associated with feelings of pleasure , " said Bridget O'Connell , head of information from the Mental Health Charity Mind . 

2 . Focus 
It is a bit strange , but the evidence suggests that music mendenggarkan can help you to concentrate . A study at Brunel University , West London has shown that music can help increase endurance by 15 percent , improve morale and energy efficiency 1-2 percent .Instead, choose a song that suits your exercise tempo . Listening to music while you exercise will give metronomic effect on the body , thus allowing you to exercise longer .

4 . Better mental health 
Music can be an effective treatment and a positive for people dealing with mental health conditions . 
" There are two different ways that are used in music therapy : either as a means of communication and self-expression or for the quality inherent restorative or healing , " said Bridget O'Connell . 

5 . Relieve stress 
Research in 2011 from the mental health charity shows , nearly a third of people listen to music to give the spirit at work . And one in four men admitted that they listen to music while traveling to and from work to help cope with stress . 

6 . Patient care 
Music really can have a significant positive impact on patients with long-term illnesses , such as heart disease , cancer and respiratory conditions . 

Many experiments have shown that music can help lower heart rate , blood pressure and help relieve pain , anxiety , and improve the quality of life of patients . 

" Music can be very useful for someone who is in a situation where they have lost control of their external environment , " said Dr. Williamson . 
" With the music they can regain a sense of control it , and create peace in yourself and prevent several disorders that are around the patient , " he added .
